This month’s issue of Sophisticated Living Magazine features a landscape designed by Stefan Luebke of Site Line Design, Inc. This amazing garden and entertainment space is four years in the making. Four years ago, Stefan met with a Williams Creek couple to design a new driveway and front foundation rehab of their existing landscape. This lead to a dynamic relationship, which produced a new circular driveway with granite cobble curbing, and a new front yard garden. Fast forward to two years ago. At the beginning of 2010, Stefan was called back to the design table once again. This time, the homeowners were planning a large addition for their home and wanted to create their own backyard retreat.

Some of the elements they wanted for their new backyard retreat included an in-ground swimming pool with a vanishing edge and a sheer decent waterfall, a jacuzzi spa, a water slide, a fire pit, outdoor entertainment space for family and friends, a large lawn space for events, and a garden for rest and relaxation. As the design unfolded some other elements included matching pergolas, stone accent walls, a sunken area for the fire pit adjacent to the vanishing edge of the pool, and an upper terrace sitting area that overlooks the pool terrace. Stefan worked in concert with the architect, Bill Sickmeier, of Sixteen Ninety Design Group, Julie Boutilier of Cornerstone Interiors, the builder Joe Logan, and Jim Brandon, owner of Landmark Landscaping, Inc. to create this landscape masterpiece.

The home addition and garden were completed in late summer of 2011 and the homeowners, their family, and friends are enjoying this dynamic and relaxing backyard retreat. To read more about the home online at Sophisticated Living, please visit this link:
